Hello and welcome to my website. Please be sure to check my page at myspace.com/paulwells73. I tend to update it more often with gig listings, etc.

7/6/08 -

I have updated the gig calender and made a few adjustments to the gear page. I've been working on more articles for Modern Drummer and keeping busy with gigs, mostly around New York and New Jersey.

5/8/08 -

Added a few photos from the Debbie Harry tour. Also, I recently finished an article for Modern Drummer about the computer program Ableton Live. Look for it soon!

1/19/08 -

Check out the March 2008 issue of Modern Drummer (Alex Van Halen on the cover) - I wrote an article called "The Drummer's Guide to Air Travel." Feel free to email me with any feedback you may have.

I had a great year in 2007, culminating in a nationwide tour with Deborah Harry. We will hopefully be hitting Europe and Asia sometime later in 2008. Keep an eye on this page for details!

9/28/07 -

More gigs added. Also updated the favorites page.

7/19/07 -

Hello! Check out the September 2007 issue of Modern Drummer magazine to see another one of my educational articles. Currently, I am finishing up a longer feature article with the working title "The Drummers Guide to Air Travel." Look for it in the coming months.

I have some cool gigs coming up, including organ trios, big bands, and the return of Spiraing! Take a look at the schedule page for the details.

3/11/07 -

Added a few new gigs and photos.

3/1/07 -

I have updated the schedule. Of particular note is a gig I'm playing as a leader in my hometown of Pittsburgh, PA. I'll be at Gullifty's on June 8th. So far, I have the great sax player Matt Ferrante confirmed for the line up.  It will be fun playing there, as I grew up literally down the street from Gullifty's!

2/1/07 -

I now have all of the new songs up on the music page. Check them out!

1/23/07 -

Happy New Year! It's been a crazy few weeks. I attended IAJE, NAMM and APAP all within about a week and a half. I saw lots of old friends and made many new ones. Also recorded a demo with Coleman Mellett and Cliff Schmitt. I posted one tune (Stablemates) on the music page, with more to come soon. The schedule, photos and favorites pages have also been updated.

Lastly, please check out my article in the December 2006 issue of Modern Drummer. I have a few more in the works, so keep a lookout for those as well.

12/19/06 -

Well, I finally added some music to the site! Click on the "music" page to hear a few tunes I recorded recently with Coleman Mellett on guitar and Tom DiCarlo on bass. I have also updated the schedule.

10/15/06 -

Updated the schedule. Also added a few new things to the gear page.

8/9/06 -

Spiraling is one of three finalists in the running to play at Moogfest - a concert held in tribute to Bob Moog, the inventor of the modern synthesiser. This is a very cool gig at BB Kings in New York City headlined by Keith Emerson from Emerson, Lake and Palmer. The only way we can play this gig is for our fans and supporters to vote for us at this link:

Don't forget to check out the Spiraling site too!

3/10/06 -

I added some more gigs. The Duke Ellington Legacy is enjoying a fun residency at Cecil's. I've also been very busy with Spiraling, working on demos of our new material.

I've updated the schedule to include some west-coast gigs. I'll also be at the NAMM show in Anaheim again this year.

11/26/05 -

Sorry about the lack of updates. It's been a busy couple of months. Japan was a blast - fun gigs and great food! I've updated my schedule, but December looks to be pretty slow so far. Anyone have any gigs for me?!?

10/8/05 -

I've added a few new dates to the calender including details for a short tour of Japan with Marion Raven. Check out her site at www.marion-raven.com

9/12/05 -
